With the two products VBBa and PbS, you get a complete, cost-effective remote control and remote transmission system that is designed to meet the high demands of railway safety and, with the PbS extension, has been specially optimised for operation on rack railways.

Highlights:

  • Use of standard hardware and software components (COTS, commercial off-the-shelf)
  • FDV-compliant operation with secured routes, even for subsequent journeys
  • Train protection with a THR in accordance with SIL 2:
    • No more external signals, balises, etc. required
    • Driver’s cab signalling in the traction vehicle (fictitious signals)
  • Implementation of ATO (Autonomic Train Operation) up to GoA2 (GoA3 and GoA4 with additional on-board equipment)
  • Emergency braking in the event of non-compliance with braking curves, exceeding the maximum permissible speed or passing fictitious signals showing STOP.

FWS-S7: Remote transmission system for railways

A versatile and inexpensive remote transmission system for railway safety systems.

  • BAV type approval 102 01 01
  • Consists of Simatic S7 hardware standard components
  • Communicates via fibre optic cable, distances of up to 30 km possible
  • Can be used for any type of remote transmission route
  • Cost-effective 1:1 replacement of existing EF19 /20 /21 remote controls between remote control centre and signal box
